Seminar on Cyber Security held at UAP

 

A day-long seminar on "Awareness Building on Cyber Security and Information and Communication Technology" was held at the Computer Science and Engineering Department (CSE) of University of Asia Pacific (UAP) on Thursday, April 23, 2015.

The event was organized by the CSE department of UAP in collaboration with the Information and Communication Technology Division, Ministry of Posts, Telecommunication & IT and an NGO named Insight Bangladesh Foundation.

S. M. Altaf Hossain, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of ICT limited, rendered the inaugural speech while Tanvir Hassan Zoha, Vice Chairman, Insight Bangladesh Foundation elaborated on Security and Digital Forensic and Social aspects and the impact of Cyber crime respectively.

Professor Dr. M. R. Kabir, acting Vice Chancellor of UAP addressed the program as chief guest. Professor M. R. Kabir Said, "This seminar will increase the knowledge about the cyber crime. He also hoped that this program will be effective for the society to creating mass awareness".

The session was chaired by Sarwar R Chowdhury, Registrar of the University while a good number of students attended in the program.
